Volunteers are the backbone of our location in Second Life®, sending out notices for events, leading meditations, hosting weekend live music and teachers, and much more. Without volunteers, we’re just a bunch of pretty pixels on your screen. Prime candidates for volunteering are folks with a lot of free time on-hand, such as retirees, the disabled, the unemployed, etc. Second Life® also requires that you have a decent computer. When purchasing a computer, always keep in mind three things:
- Processor
- RAM
- Video card
If each of these are above average, your experience inworld will be all the better. Caspian Inglewood recommends the Dell XPS line for laptop and desktop consumers.
Kannonji is always looking for new volunteers to help out with our 7AM, 1PM, 5PM, 9PM and 11PM meditation times. These times are all in PST or PDT, depending on the season. Second Life® is owned by Linden Lab, a San Francisco based company.
We also are looking for weekend live music hosts. You can either find our application boxes at our location inworld or send a notecard regarding volunteering to Caspian Inglewood, Thunderfoot Lorefield, Tay Beningborough, NaturesZen Writer, Ravensong Merlon or Luvvie Starsider.
